Isaac Smith
I finished my MSc Cancer Biology & Therapeutics from Cardiff University in 2019 and landed in covid and quality related roles. It turned out the laboratory was not for me. In 2022, I jumped at the chance to join Singular to utilise my scientific background to fully understand the technical needs of our clients - whether they develop small molecules, antibodies, C&G therapies, or nanoparticles. The roles I have filled range from very early stage medicinal chemistry, target discovery (including functional genomics) and validation, in-vitro studies, preclinical development / IND, through to clinical development and into patients suffering from unmet need.
Tyler Olding
I’ve been fascinated by science for as long as I can remember and originally set out to become a doctor. That path led me to a BSc in Biomedical Science, but I soon realised the lab wasn’t where I could have the biggest impact. Since then, I’ve led a range of executive and niche scientific searches for Singular’s clients. I specialise in technically demanding and executive searches, particularly for early stage Biotechs scaling their teams for the first time. My focus is always on helping companies find people with both deep expertise and the adaptability needed to thrive in a startup. My approach is grounded in dedication and learning. I adapt my strategies to each search, ensuring a smooth process and presenting opportunities with strength and clarity.
Emma Hobbs
I’ve worked in talent for over two decades, partnering with global organisations like GSK, AstraZeneca, PPD and IQVIA, with the last 15 years dedicated to the life sciences. This breadth has given me a deep appreciation of the evolving challenges and nuances at each stage of growth. I now lead embedded projects as a talent partner, working closely with clients to shape hiring strategies, refine recruitment processes, and creatively source the talent they need, even in the most competitive markets. Clients value my ability to see the bigger picture while solving immediate hiring challenges, and I’m proud to be a strategic voice in the room, acting as a trusted advisor who brings both industry insight and delivery expertise.
